Dr. Rosette Ruth Reisman-Aguilar is an accomplished audiologist, professor, and clinical leader with over 15 years of experience in diagnostic audiology, auditory processing disorders, aural rehabilitation, and hearing technology integration.

She currently serves as a Doctoral Lecturer and ASHA CAA Program Director in the Department of Communication Arts, Sciences, and Disorders at Brooklyn College (CUNY), where she leads accreditation, curriculum design, and educational quality initiatives for the CUNY Au.D. Consortium. She also teaches advanced coursework in Diagnostic Audiology, Medical Audiology, Amplification, and Aural Rehabilitation, while mentoring graduate students in evidence-based research and inclusive clinical practice.

Over the last 15 years, Dr. Reisman-Aguilar has worked with thousands of seniors, focusing on the critical intersection of hearing health, cognitive wellness, communication, and fall prevention. Through comprehensive evaluations, ongoing rehabilitation, and targeted counseling, she has helped older adults enhance speech understanding, maintain cognitive engagement, and reduce fall risk by addressing hearing loss as a key modifiable factor. Her work emphasizes whole-person care and empowers seniors to remain active, safe, and socially connected within their communities.

A recognized early adopter of cutting-edge hearing technology, Dr. Reisman-Aguilar was the first audiologist in the United States to fit the Cochlear BAHA™ Attract system and one of the earliest clinicians to integrate the Maxum™ middle ear device in the tri-state area. During her nearly decade-long tenure at Northwell Health's New York Head & Neck Institute, she managed multi-site audiology operations, earned Tier 1 Press Ganey patient satisfaction ratings, and received the North Star 90 Award for Patient Excellence for superior service and exceptional referral rankings.

Dr. Reisman-Aguilar is the Founder and Principal Audiologist of Urban Hearing, where she provides advanced virtual auditory processing evaluations, tinnitus retraining therapy, and international audiology consultations. She also co-hosts the Happy Hearing Podcast with Carly Sygrove, offering engaging education on hearing health and communication strategies. As Founder of R.A.Y.S. Consulting, she supports healthcare and technology organizations with clinical operations, AI optimization, and strategic program development—partnering with entities such as Motormia Inc. and Hope Healthcare Bermuda.

Previously, she served as a Clinical Account Manager for MED-EL Corporation, overseeing implant education, training, and clinical expansion throughout the Northeast region. She has also provided clinical instruction and mentorship at Touro University and the CUNY Graduate Center, fostering the development of future audiologists through hands-on education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Widely regarded as a subject-matter expert in hearing healthcare, Dr. Reisman-Aguilar has been featured by NBC, the Associated Press, CITV Bermuda, Hearing Tracker, Audiologists.org, and News 12 Brooklyn. She has authored or contributed to more than 55 expert articles and serves as a medical advisor to organizations such as the National Council on Aging, HelpGuide.org, and Everyday Health. Her work emphasizes accessible, accurate, and patient-centered hearing care guidance for the public—particularly older adults and individuals with complex listening needs.

Dr. Reisman-Aguilar holds an Au.D. from the CUNY Graduate Center and an MBA from Hofstra University's Zarb School of Business, graduating with honors in both programs. She is licensed in New York, Florida, and Bermuda and maintains clinical competency certifications in auditory processing services (IGAPS/API) and research ethics (CITI). She is multilingual in English, Hebrew, and French, with clinical proficiency in Spanish.
