Elizabeth Gavino founded Lewin & Gavino in 1997 with a deliberate goal to give clients better guidance than the industry typically offered. To do that, she went inside the industry itself. She spent time at John Hancock Financial Services as an internal wholesaler in the direct brokerage channel, and later as a Regional Account Manager at Lincoln Financial Distributors, working alongside UBS Paine Webber brokers in New York City and Long Island. Those roles gave her an inside view of how life insurance products are built, priced, and distributed, knowledge she brought back to her own clients at Lewin & Gavino. That foundation is what has made her an independent broker people trust for nearly 30 years.

At Lewin & Gavino, Elizabeth works with clients on the full spectrum of life insurance planning, from policy reviews and carrier comparisons to life settlements and estate equalization strategies. Her Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation brings a business owner lens to conversations about buy-sell agreements, key person coverage, and succession planning. Her Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) background gives her a distinctive perspective on how health choices directly affect insurance eligibility and long term cost.

What sets Elizabeth apart is her ability to see the full downstream impact of a life insurance decision. When a client receives a life settlement payout, she knows to look at the timing and how it may affect their Medicare premiums. When someone retires and loses their group life coverage, she addresses the replacement planning alongside everything else happening in that transition. Her Certified Medicare Transition Advisor (CMTA) designation reflects the depth of retirement planning knowledge she brings to every life insurance conversation.

Elizabeth has been cited in more than 100 CNBC articles over six years, making her one of the most consistently quoted insurance experts on the platform. She has also been featured in Fortune, Fox News, Insurance Business, Leader’s Edge, and USA Today. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dickinson College.
