The nearby Sandia and Manzano Mountains offer outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, nature watching and skiing. In town, pedal the 15-mile Paseo del Bosque cycling path. Several dozen golf courses dot the Albuquerque area, including some that have made “Top Golf Courses” lists in Golf Digest and The New York Times.
Albuquerque is home to over 100 art galleries and studios and public art works throughout the city. Some performing arts venues include Opera Southwest, Albuquerque Little Theater, and the South Broadway Cultural Center. Casinos in the city include the Hard Rock Hotel and Casio and the Sandia Resort and Casino with many more located throughout the state.
