Plus, just within the city are 57 parks, 17 recreation centers and 365-acre Salem Lake offering boating, fishing and a 6.9-mile nature trail. Bethabara Park, a National Historic Landmark, is the site of the 1753 settlement sitting on a 183-acre wildlife preserve with 126 species of birds and 20 miles of nature trails. .
